In your free initial discussion, your dentist will look at your teeth, listen to your concerns, and discuss the changes you’d like to see in your smile. We’ll talk through whether porcelain veneers are the right option for you.
Comprehensive Consultation
To make sure your teeth are suitable for veneers we will then conduct a full assessment of your teeth. We will take x-rays, photos and fully assess your bite and your teeth to make sure that you have a strong foundation for your veneers.
Smile Design
We will take 3D digital scans of your teeth and discuss with you in detail the changes that you would like. This allows us to do a digital design of your new smile which we will use as a mock up.
Tooth preparation and veneer application
We will then prepare the teeth based off our mock up of the new smile design. How much tooth structure is removed is dictated by the new smile design – often we try to be as minimal as possible when it comes to tooth preparation as we aim to conserve as much tooth structure as possible.
You will leave with temporary veneers so that you can assess the colour, shape, size and overall smile.
Veneer creation and bonding
Our dental laboratory carefully creates your custom-made porcelain veneers to match your desired tooth colour, shape, and size. This typically takes 1 – 2 weeks, resulting in high-quality porcelain veneers that are ready to wear.
From here, we’ll check that your custom veneers look and feel good before permanently bonding them to your natural teeth with a dental adhesive. Once in place, a special curing light is used to harden the bond and secure your veneers in place
Final adjustments and polishing
Once your porcelain veneers are bonded into place, we conduct our final adjustments to make sure your bite is comfortable.

They will also outline the treatment steps, answer any questions you may have and let you know if veneers are suitable for your teeth and gums. If you choose to proceed, you can book in for a Comprehensive Examination.

After
At your comprehensive examination appointment, your dentist will complete a full oral assessment, take a 3D X-ray, review your bite and gum health, and take photos and digital scans.
This information is used to create your digital smile design and plan the exact shape, shade and number of veneers required before starting treatment.
